Officer Ron DeSoto is a twenty year veteran of law enforcement. A graduate of Bowling Green High School and Western Kentucky University, officer DeSoto served with the Louisville Airport police, the Georgetown Police department, and the Eminence Police department, before joining Simpsonville in 2005. During his law enforcement tenure, officer DeSoto has served in many capacities, including being a K-9 handler. He currently is the fire-arms and taser instructor for Simpsonville. Fluent in Spanish, officer DeSoto is also a licensed pilot and a certified scuba diver. Married to wife Margaret, officer DeSoto has a son who is in the U.S. Army.
